⚠️ What is Diabetic Eye Disease?

Diabetic eye disease refers to a group of complications caused by diabetes that affect the eyes, especially the retina. The most common and vision-threatening condition is Diabetic Retinopathy, which can progress to Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), Retinal Hemorrhage, or even Blindness if left untreated.

Early detection and timely treatment can prevent up to 90% of vision loss related to diabetes.

🚨 Symptoms You Should Not Ignore

  • Blurred or fluctuating vision

  • Dark spots or floaters in vision

  • Difficulty seeing at night

  • Sudden vision loss

  • Poor color vision

Note: Many patients with early-stage diabetic retinopathy experience no symptoms, so regular screening is vital.
